| Middle School Chinese 1 for Summer |
Course ideal for: Grades 6 - 8 | Ages 11 - 13
Students can learn a new language during summer break and receive course credit!
Middle school students should begin with Middle School Chinese 1, unless they have already taken a first-year middle school course at school or at home, in which case they should begin with Middle School Chinese 2. If a student has taken our Elementary Chinese courses or equivalent, they should begin with Middle School Chinese 1.
Courses must be completed by September 30, 2010.

| 2. Add School Credit |
| Under this option, you will receive a printed and signed proof of credit at the completion of the course. After
completing all the assignments in the course, the student submits them for grading. A certified language teacher then grades the writing and speaking
assignments, provides overall feedback, and calculates a final grade that combines the writing and speaking grades with the computer graded assessments.

Course Overview
A multi-media, game-based approach makes this introductory
Chinese Chinese course different from traditional approaches to language
learning. Advanced teaching techniques are used to turn compelling
adventures and activities into rigorous lessons in grammar
and vocabulary. This course provides a solid foundation for
reading, speaking, writing, and understanding Chinese Chinese and
cultivates a passion for the language through exposure to
culture and dynamic experiences of real people and real places.
